According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Shawn’s portrayer, Brandon Beemer, feels like he’s been hit with a semi truck with this news. He puts it this way to the publication in a new interview, “Shawn’s more than convinced, actually certain that little Shawn is his son because of the paternity test that was originally done. So it’s a big surprise. He didn’t see this coming.”

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that when the results come back, it’s confirmed that Evan is indeed the father. Of course, he does a double take with this information. Brandon explains, “Shawn doesn’t want to believe it. He thinks there’s something up somebody’s sleeve. And it’s 100 percent hurtful to him. He’s totally bonded with this child and given up a lot for him. He’s sacrificed his marriage, put it in jeopardy because of him because he wanted to do the right thing and stick by this child.”

What’s more, Days of Our Lives spoilers also say that Shawn asks Belle to fight Evan’s custody ruling, but she says there’s nothing she can do about it – at least from a legal standpoint. In other words, his life is about to flip upside down and in the worst way possible, too. Brandon continues, “Shawn doesn’t think that Evan is a fit father. He’s a convict and a murderer. He thinks that he would be a better father to this child as he has been. He never thought it was going to turn out like this.”
