The Young and the Restless spoilers say that for these ladies, enough is enough. Phyllis, Nikki and Ashley will conspire to try and get rid of Diane once and for all. But will their plan work? Here’s what you need to know.
According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, the three women usually don’t agree on everything, but they do agree that they’ve all had enough of Diane. The Young and the Restless Co-Executive Producer and Head Writer Josh Griffith told the publication in a new interview that the women know that they just can’t sit around and wait for Diane to implode on her own. Griffith puts it this way, “Why should they wait if they can push it along? They know she’s just a time bomb ready to explode, so why not light the fuse? Waiting to let her light it herself could take too long.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Phyllis and Nikki decide that the best plan would involve Phyllis securing a job at Marchetti to secretly sabotage their target. Griffith says, “At this point, the gain outweighs the risk for Phyllis because she’s the only one that can get on the inside. Besides, this plan is two-fold for her; She can get into Marchetti and find a way to do some damage to Diane, but at the same time, it gives her the opportunity to work with her daughter, which is an incredible joy for her. For Phyllis, it is a win/win.”
Yet, one person who is not on board is Ashley. Griffith says, “The reason Ashley is wary comes down to two words: face cream. She remembers all too well when Gloria tainted Jabot’s new face cream and it caused a huge p.r. Catastrophe. Ashley is also more cautious in that prodding the bear is not always the best attack.”
Yet, The Young and the Restless spoilers say that all three women eventually agree to the plan, which means that Phyllis would have to step away from Grand Phoenix, too.
