Days of Our Lives spoilers say that for Ben Weston and Ciara Brady, one chapter is about to close while another one is about to begin. That’s because Ciara breaks the news to Julie, Doug and Rafe that she and Ben have decided to leave Salem. They’ll be traveling the world on a new adventure. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Days of Our Lives Head Writer Ron Carlivati said that he wanted to give Ben and Ciara the send off that they deserved, seeing how they had to deal with so much drama during their time in Salem. He put it this way, “We decided that they would exit happy and Ben and Ciara are going to leave Salem. Fans of the show know that Hope and Bo had a sailboat called the Fancy Face and sailed around on it, and they know that Belle and Shawn did something similar. So, we did a story where Hope sends this present to them and it is the boat. So we wrote Ben and Ciara off around the 4th of July. They decided to take baby Bo and sail around the world, and it’s sort of reminiscent of Bo and Hope taking baby Shawn and Belle and Shawn taking baby Claire.”
Days of Our Lives spoilers say that after Ciara has an emotional farewell with her grandfather Victor, their baby is christened with both Rafe and Marlena. Carlivati continues, “Salem waves good-bye to them on their boat.”
Now, whether or not Ben and Ciara return to Salem remains to be seen. But if there’s anything we’ve learned about life in this fictional town, it’s that no good-bye is truly forever, right? Watch this space.
