It’s not easy being around beautiful people all the time, but someone’s got to do it, right? The Bold and the Beautiful star John McCook recently opened up about the most difficult part of his job and you wouldn’t believe what he has to say. Here’s what you need to know!
In a new interview with Soaps.com, John opens up about his character Eric Forrester and his most recent storyline. As many The Bold and the Beautiful fans know, Eric has been sleeping with his ex-wife Donna behind Quinn’s back. But then again, she’s been no angel either, as Quinn has been getting rather up close and personal with Carter, too. When asked about it, John said, “I thought, ‘Well, I’ll play it, even though I disagree with it, as long as I know that in the end, Eric’s going to realize this wasn’t a very good idea!’”
When asked about the complexity of the fallout of this storyline, Eric said, “The more difficult scenes are to play, the more fun work is. So I loved playing that story and trying to keep Eric as dignified as possible by playing him as frustrated and angry as opposed to ashamed or sad.”
What’s more, Eric also admitted that this current storyline has provided some great scenes for his Daytime Emmy reel. He explained, “It was a scene where Ridge [Thorsten Kaye] was confronting Eric, saying what what he was doing was stupid. And Eric finally said, ‘You think this is easy for me? I hope this never happens to you. I hate this! I don’t want to be in this house alone!”
In other words, this doesn’t sound like that hard of a job, right? John can consider himself a very lucky man!
Needless to say, The Bold and the Beautiful fans will have to tune in everyday to find out what’s next.
