The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victoria Turns Her Back On Newman Media

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that if it seems like Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) keeps digging herself a bigger hole that she can’t get out of, it’s because she is. After she decides to cut ties from her family, Victoria and Ashland head off to New York while her brother Adam Newman is named CRO of Newman Enterprises. Luckily, Victoria isn’t fazed by the move at all and that’s mostly because she’s got some major plans of her own. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Speaking to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, The Young and the Restless Head Writer and Co-Executive Producer Josh Griffith says that Victoria has some big plans of her own. She suggests to Ashalnd that they start their own communications company just so they could go head to head with Newman Media.

Griffith puts it this way, “Her plan is to launch into a whole new venture completely separate from the Newmans. She wants to compete specifically with Newman Media and stick it to them while doing it.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Victoria casually calls her brother Nick and tells him that she’s been conducting some meetings in New York and that she’s been using her own business contacts and not her husband’s. 

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Victoria?

Griffith explains, “She’s leaving breadcrumbs because she figures what she tells Nick will get back to Victor. This is her way of letting her dad know that this is her last sort of push away of, ‘I’m moving on.’”

That said, Victoria knows that there’s going to be a blowback once her father finds out about her plans. In other words, Victor will be in for a surprise. Griffith teases, “Let’s just say that she’s as good of a chess player as her father and she’s already looking 10 moves down the board.”
