There’s new speculation that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) might soon find herself in Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) bed only because she’s been using him as a shoulder to cry on while grieving the death of her partner, Rey Rosales. New reports say there’s a very good chance that ‘Shick’ might happen, for better or for worse. Apparently, The Young and the Restless writers are looking to bring back Sharon and Nick together, as Nick has constantly been the one person in Sharon’s life that has managed to be there for her during the good times and the bad.
Needless to say, it didn’t take very long for both The Young and the Restless fans and critics to weigh in on this potential storyline. Many of them wrote comments on social media such as, “Good grief, is there any creativity left?? Where are good writers when we need them? They just recycle stories over and over,” along with, “Sharon will grieve forever as long as it takes and I for one don’t want her with her ex Nick but it sure looks like you up there want them together and I won’t praise that uh- huh!”
Another critic wrote, “I actually get why they want Sharon and Nick together (aren’t they the next generation Victor and Nikki?), they just always end up sooo boring! Maybe send them on an adventure like a Luke and Laura type of a thing back in the day from GH… I loved when Sharon died her hair brown and went to live on the farm back when the original Adam was still on. Something like that could be fun! What I do NOT want is for Nick and Sharon to get back together and then end up having Nick going to an affair with Phyllis again.”
