The Young and the Restless spoilers say that with a bevy of young, beautiful women in this fictional city of Genoa City, it’s no wonder that no one can stay faithful to just one person at a time. If there’s anyone who knows that feeling all too well, it’s most definitely Nick Newman. The character’s portrayer, Josh Morrow, admits that his romance with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was a “different kind of passion” compared to his relationship with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Here’s what you need to know.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, the handsome actor opened up about Nick’s romance with Phyllis. Josh put it this way, “It was an incredible relationship and completely unlike what he had with Sharon, but it’s not any less impactful. Nick and Phyllis are crazy about each other and they’ve got this electricity between them that is rare. Their relationship came out of nowhere and shocked everyone and for some reason, they get each other.”
The actor also said that there was no way that he could pick one favorite ex over the other. He said, “I could never say which one I prefer over the other. They are both part of my life and more importantly, a huge part of Nick’s life.”
However, if there was one “that got away,” it would have been Phyllis’ sisterAvery, who Josh had a short-lived romance with. He said, “That relationship was really trending in a great direction. Nick really wanted to be with her, and I wish they would bring Avery back to inject some energy into that part of his life. I think that relationship really worked and added an extra layer with Nick and Phyllis.”
To us, it sure sounds like Nick is one lucky man, right? Now, as far as who he will spend the rest of his life with, remains to be seen! It could easily be Phyllis or Sharon or both, right?
