The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is going to think twice and maybe even three times before giving it another shot with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). As a matter of fact, Jack is furious after overhearing Phyllis admit to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) that she only got back with Jack again to block her from doing the same. According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Phyllis shows up at the Abbott mansion in the hopes that she can smooth things over between her and Jack, but he’s not having it at all. Peter Bergman, who plays Jack on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way, “Jack is far from receptive. Phyllis tries her best to assure him that her feelings are for real. She tells Jack that Diane only made her see how much she needed to be with him, but he’s finding it hard to believe. That’s a whole lot of words to explain something that simple and it just makes Jack really uncomfortable now.”
That said, Phyllis tries to apologize for her comments but Jack is not ready to forgive and forget just yet. Peter continues, “When Phyllis tries to blame Diane, that really ticks Jack off. He tells her, ‘This is about you and me. Why are you bringing another person into this?’”
While Phyllis thinks that they can get past this, Jack is not so sure on his end. Peter says, “They took months and months shaking off the hurt and building trust not only with each other but trust in themselves as a couple. And just like that, all the progress is endangered. Jack was pretty dazzled by how well every step of this had gone. There had been a real payoff for going real slow and he was happy about it, but how quickly that all changed.”
Now, whether or not Phyllis can save this union remains to be seen. Of course, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
