The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) sure has every reason not to trust Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) these days. But then again, who can, right? Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Michael admitted that Ashland is the worst kind of human being for faking his cancer and making his family believe that he was near death’s door. He told the publication, “That’s just awful. It’s definitely the final straw for Kyle. I mean, how do you explain to a 4-year-old boy that Daddy Ashland isn’t dying, after all? Now Kyle doesn’t trust Ashland. I think living in Italy has matured Kyle, so he’s this papa bear.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that while Kyle has every reason to put a restraining order on Ashland, he doesn’t want to hurt little Harrison, knowing that he’s been in the tot’s life from the very beginning. And while both Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and his wife Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) are pushing for it, Michael explains, “That gives Kyle pause. Now it sounds like Victor wants to use Harrison as a pawn in his determination to get Ashland out of town, which makes Kyle hesitant to move forward. Kyle points out that he’s not doing this for revenge, it’s because he wants to do what’s best for Harrison.”
Michael also added, “Kyle says there are things to consider. First, he wants to discuss this with Harrison because what will this do to a little boy who loves Ashland, the acting father for most of his life? Also, Ashland may still have custody, so Kyle is worried about a legal battle, as well. However, will Victor listen to Kyle’s concerns or will he just do as he pleases and make the situation worse?”
