Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Steve Burton Is Excited To Join ‘Beyond Salem,’ Dishes About The Future

Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Steve Burton is just as eager to get started on his work again on the set of the spin-off show Beyond Salem as much as fans want to see him! In fact, the actor recently opened up about his new daytime television job during his podcast, That’s Awesome with Steve and Bradford. Here’s what you need to know.

As many fans know by now, it’s been announced that Steve has joined the cast of DOOL. He actually made his debut on the sudster back in 1988 as his character, Harris Michaels. Steve confirmed that he is playing the character again on his podcast.

Explaining how he got asked back to Days of Our Lives, Steve said, “Marni Saitta, (Days) casting director, who I have known for years, she kind of messaged me months ago, and she said, ‘Hey! Would you be in interested in doing a limited-series … and it’s for the Peacock … it’s a spin-off for DAYS?’”

Days of Our Lives co-executive produce Albert Alarr also seemed very eager to bring Steve on board for the soap. He shared: “He goes look, ‘I can’t give you specifics yet … this is what the parameters of the character would be and we haven’t fleshed it out, yet.  Would you be opposed to playing a bad guy?”

Steve also said that he had a meeting with head writer Ron Carlivati about his arrival back in Salem, too. He said, “They (Ron and Albert) thought it would be cool to bring back Harris Michaels. since I started my daytime career.  It just brought back floods of memories to me.” 

Steve also said that you can forget about seeing him wear all black like he did for his Jason Morgan character on General Hospital. “There’s a lot of wardrobe, multiple outfits,” he teased.

Needless to say, Days of Our Lives fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
