The Bold and the Beautiful Star John McCook Opens Up About Eric And Donna’s Heated Passion

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that he’s going to go down a road that almost every Forrester man has gone down before. But it’s not like we should all pretend to be surprised over this, right? Actor John McCook recently discussed his character Eric Forrester’s relationship with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis). In a new interview with Soap Hub, John McCook discussed Eric’s “honey bear” affair with Donna. He said, “I thought it was fun! This is a case of the actors being fans of the show, too. I turned the page and saw this…I was very happy to see that happen. I love working with Jen [Gareis, Donna]. Donna’s not a giddy airhead. The character of Donna is more mature now. They enjoy each other in a playful way. It brings such joy to Eric’s life.”

He also added, “I hold Eric to a higher standard but I understand there’s a wariness and a weariness towards Quinn [Rena Sofer]. Donna’s absolutely in love with Eric, which gives him a positive buoyancy. Where it’s going to go is really wonderful — for everybody.”

And while Eric Forrester has forgiven his wife Quinn Forreser (Rena Sofer) so many times in the past, it looks like this tryst might be the tipping point in their marriage. Because once Quinn catches wind of the fact that Eric has been bedding Donna, she is going to jump into Carter Walton’s bed in a heartbeat. Even with the chances of that seemingly high, John says that he still has hope for Eric and Quinn’s future. He said, “I hope they come together and find a way to respect and honor the marriage.”

Now, whether or not happens remains to be seen. But if there’s anything that we’ve learned about life in this fictional town of Los Angeles, it’s that these kind of illicit affairs happen as much as all of those apologies that come after them.
