The Young and the Restless spoilers say that it’s not everyday that your mother comes back from the dead, but it seems like Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) wanted to make this a special occasion. And while Diane is doing everything that she can to connect with her son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) doesn’t think it’s a good idea. In fact, he thinks that Diane should keep her social distance from everyone in this fictional town of Genoa City as he believes that she’s up to no good again. Diane is sure not making any friends these days, as she’s being forced to explain why she abandoned her family and worse, faked her death. That said, Diane tells Nick that his eyes aren’t playing tricks on him and that she’s indeed back and alive. But Nick isn’t buying into any of his excuses. He tells Diane that Kyle was devastated when she left and how motherless he felt as a young boy. He makes it pretty clear to her that she should stay away from Kyle and better yet, stay away from his daughter Summer Newman as well.
But if there’s anything that we’ve learned about the women on The Young and the Restless, it’s that they never know how to take good advice when they get it. Diane doesn’t care what anyone thinks. All she wants to do is repair her relationship with her son Kyle again.
That said, Diane tells Nick that his parents know that she’s back but he assures her that they’ve got bigger issues to worry about. Diane thinks out loud whether or not she should disappear again, to which Nick says that would be a good idea. But whether or not she’ll actually do that, is anyone’s guess. For now it seems like Diane’s got some work to do and she’s not going to let anyone – and especially someone like Nick – run her out of town. Watch this space.

Sorry do not trust a woman who re-enters her sons life when he no longer needs her. Why not ten years or even five years earlier? I think she is just realizing her own immortality and wants to have something or someone in her life now. I think she is a selfish, self serving person who will only cause Kyle future heartache. I hope Summer is wise enough to see through her. The way she carry’s herself and the way she got back in their life’s proves she cannot be trusted. Sorry I do not care for the character at all. I miss the other storylines which are now on the back burner.
