The Young and the Restless spoilers say that a lot of people seem to be conflicted about Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and the way that she is dealing with her grief now that her husband Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is dead. And while there’s no doubt that Sharon loved him, a lot of people believe that she wasn’t really in love with him. Here’s what you need to know.
The Young and the Restless fans know that Sharon has had a lot of loves in this fictional town of Genoa City, but if there was ever one man that stood by her side the most, it was Rey Rosales. He was there with her during her breast cancer battle along with all of the good, the bad and the ugly times. However, there is some speculation that Sharon might have lusted over Rey more than loved him. That’s because her heart might still belong to someone else.
Of course, many The Young and the Restless fans have weighed in on the matter on social media. While some people believe that she was indeed in love with Rey, others think that she still had her mind on other men like Adam Newman or his brother, Nick Newman. Some comments have included, “She wasn’t in love with Rey at all. She lusted for Adam the entire time that they were married. And for the past few month she’s spent more time reminiscing the past with Nick than she did with Rey. So I’m not really buying her grief,” along with, “Girl I’m not taking part in her crying over Ray. It would have been more believable if she gave more of a toss for him. I cussed him all the time going back to being whatever to her. We all know throughout that marriage she was lusting after Adam.”
Another fan wrote, “Sharon wasn’t in love with Rey but he was the best man she ever had. Now she’s realizing what she lost. It’s too late.”
Now that Rey is gone, does this mean that Sharon will go back to her true love? Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next! The story line sure looked like she was in love with Rey. It is a cheap shot to say she wasn't. It was a cheap shot to fire him from the show. It was a cheap shot to eliminate his entire family from the show. This is really just a disgusting move and no way to treat such a fine actor. I will be looking for where he appears next and go there.
Rey wasn't a good fit for Sharon. I didn't like them as a couple. Glad that is over.
