Speaking to Soap Hub in a new interview, Sheila revealed, “Well, hopefully, I’ll be on B&B for a long time to come. If they put me on a backburner for a while due to circumstances I’d love to stay within the CBS family. Perhaps guest star on some primetime shows. I signed a long-term deal, but our contracts are written so that the show has an option on us every 3 to 6 months.”

Of course, it didn’t take long for both The Bold and the Beautiful fans and critics to weigh in on the matter. Many of them took to social media to write, “Let’s be real. It’s B&B. Someone has come on with great fanfare and then when Brad Bell gets bored, they fade away. I’ve learned not to put much stock in any of the casting news to last long. It’s why I don’t watch the show anymore and even though I LOVE Kimberlin Brown, her last arc was such a snore. The Lauren and Sheila rivalry is the best,” along with, “The problem with B&B is they refuse to set these characters up when they return with longevity. If they only planned on a 1 year pop tart for Kimberlin, why not set up a compelling yet less felonious tale for her? As in, she and Steffy wind up at odds. Sheila plots to break her and Finn up as she sees her as unworthy. Brooke intervenes to try and guard Sheila, only to wind up in her crosshairs. And after Steffy and Finn break apart, Sheila is humiliated out of town.”

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What’s Next For Sheila?

Another critic wrote, “So this is how they get rid of people at the drop of a hat. Characters are just gone with no explanation on B&B. They would be FOOLS to drop Sheila. Having Steffy married to Finn was a solid connection to the core family, so having Finn die was a waste. Maybe Mary, Ryder, Daisy or Diana can come to L.A. and shack up with some core characters.”
