The Young and the Restless spoilers say that unfortunately Rey Rosales will no longer be gracing anyone with his presence in this fictional town of Genoa City unless, of course, he comes back in the aftermath. That’s because he died in a terrible car crash which has prompted a lot of people to ask if the character’s portrayer, Jordi Vilasuso, deserved a better ending. Here’s what you need to know.
According to the latest The Young and the Restless spoilers, Victoria Newman swerved to avoid Rey’s car and crashed into a tree. Rey then crashed into Ashland’s car behind her and unfortunately, ended up in a ditch. At that moment, Ashland followed Victoria because he wanted to make sure that she was ok, and not knowing that Rey was left behind, dead.
Of course, it didn’t take very long for both The Young and the Restless fans and critics to weigh in on Rey’s demise. Many of them took to social media to write, “This was such a badly written exit for such an important character. He shld have had more lines with Sharon, and the last week should have focused on his character. I am so disappointed how they discard key characters nowadays. You will be missed Jordi,” along with, “What is going on with these writers. Same old stuff always killing off the new people. Sick of Nick Sharon Victoria Billy. Phyllis Jack all old boring stuff. Victoria even getting boring.”
Another critic wrote, “That was really wrong. I’m surprised Laura Lee Bell didn’t say something about that to the writers and directors as her parents and family with the creators of the show. However, I’m not surprised considering how they’ve treated Doug Davidson for 40 years.”
So far Jordi Vilasuso himself has not made any comments about his future or if he plans on returning to the soap world at all. I really liked him. They need some new writer’s to do a better job of writing before the show gets canceled.
He could have been injured, and taken to the hospital. If he was leaving the show, he would be able to tell his wife and friends goodbye before he passes!! I enjoyed his acting, but need a better storyline. I will miss his character!!
I agree writers really made mistake again. Getting rid of whole Rosales family Is BIG Mistake. Each actors role was perfect for them . They all added refreshing fun storyline. Always drama enters but they handled it !! Then, one by one each family member was “let go “ or do we say fired?? Wrong. Sorry but guess writers didn’t know how to write new & refreshing storyline ? I’m sure they’re talented but I don’t agree with this car crash and JORDI out. Like all soaps , it could be mistake and he’d be alive down the road. In rehab coma out of town like so many actors on break !!!
I hope writers bring ALL Royale actors & family back with Sharon. Finally after 40 yrs she had new storyline and life!!
