The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Michael Mealor Opens Up About Kyle’s Very Rocky Year

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that the timing couldn’t be any more perfect for Michael Mealor to return to the show as his character, Kyle Abbott. Speaking to ET Canada in a new interview, Michael says when he got the all-important phone call from the producers of The Young and the Restless asking if he could return to the show, he could not say no. “When they called me up and told me about the storyline, I got chills,” he said, adding, “If there’s ever a storyline for Kyle to move back from Italy and me to return to the show, then this is it.”

That said, The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that once Kyle comes home to Genoa City, he’ll realize that things are certainly not the same way as he left it. He’ll be shocked to the core when he finds out that his mother Diane isn’t exactly dead.

“What fans can expect is a papa bear figure who is really protective of his son,” Mealor previews. “He’s had a rocky three years but he’s matured as a man, he’s matured as a father, and he’s matured as a husband as well.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Kyle?

Michael also says that The Young and the Restless fans can expect to see a lot of emotional scenes from Kyle. “At the end of the day, he’s a little boy who lost his mom and I think everyone can relate to that,” he continued. “I think Kyle is wrestling with the joy that his mom is alive but also the fact that she chose not to be here for 20 years.”
