Days of Our Lives News: Tyler Christopher Says ‘It’s Ok Not To Be Ok’

Days of Our Lives alum Tyler Christopher (ex-Stefan DiMera) is saying what we are all thinking, and that it’s okay to sometimes feel like you are not okay. And if there’s anyone who knows that feeling all too well, it’s definitely Tyler. Here’s what he has to say.

Sharing a photo of his most recent headshot, Tyler wrote, “It’s ok not to be ok. It’s equally ok to smile when you are feeling joyous.” Of course, it didn’t take long at all for his fans and followers to weigh in on the matter. Many of his fans commented with, “Love seeing posts reminding us how our feelings on normal days of life..they can suck at times but admitting this out loud helps us to not feel so alone. Thank you,” along with, “In this picture, I see a man that is truly happy with himself. A man that beat all the odds!! A man that was down but not out!! A see a survivor and a teacher!! Keep on healing Ty!! It looks good on you!! Happy Saturday!!”

Another fan wrote, “I have watched you from your debut on #GH. I’m so happy that you are healthy and loved hearing your story on state of mind .I miss you so much on gh and hope one day you can return. Just know that you are an inspiration to so many and have so many in your corner.”

During his sit-down interview with Maurice Benard for his “State of Mind” series, Tyler admitted to being a “functional addict.” 

Days of Our Lives News: Tyler Christopher Has Been Very Honest About His Struggles

“At some point, you can not survive it,” said the actor. “At some point, it will kill you — and it has. Three times, I have flatlined. And nobody knows that. I’m saying it here for the first time. Three times I have flatlined, and they brought me back. Twice from [alcohol] poisoning, once from withdrawal.”
