General Hospital fans all can’t help but ask the same question: is Ingo Rademacher (ex-Jasper Jacks) done with the daytime television world? For some longtime General Hospital viewers that’s what it seems like as the actor has not been on the canvas for well over six months now. As many fans know by now, both Ingo and his former co-star Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan) were let go from Port Charles after they refused to comply with the ABC network’s vaccine mandate. Here’s what you need to know.
Not only did Ingo refuse to get the shot in order to save his job, but he also filed a lawsuit against his former employer. Ingo said in his lawsuit that the COVID vaccine mandate is unconstitutional and amounts to religious discrimination. He is also being repped by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and John W. Howard, an attorney who has already filed several lawsuits challenging the vaccine mandates. Ingo was let go back in November when he refused to comply with the ABC network’s vaccine mandate.
According to Variety, the actor told the powers to be at General Hospital that he should be exempt due to “my deeply and sincerely held moral belief that my body is endowed by my creator with natural processes to protect me and that its natural integrity.”
And while the actor hasn’t offered any updates about the lawsuit, it seems like he hasn’t gotten any offers for roles on the other major daytime television shows: The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital. So does this mean that Ingo’s acting career is over? No one knows for sure, but it does seem like he is more focused on spending time with his family and promoting new cars and vans on social media. So far Ingo himself has not made any comments about his future but it’s without a doubt that fans would love to see him on the canvas again. Watch this space.
