There’s a new book about Prince William coming out and unfortunately for the future king of England, it doesn’t paint a pretty light about him. As a matter of fact, royal author Robert Jobson, who wrote the book, “William at 40: The Making of a Modern Monarch,” says that the Duke of Cambridge is exactly who you think he is behind closed doors. Here’s what you need to know.
Throughout the last two years there have been plenty of reports suggesting that it was Prince William who ran Prince Harry and Meghan Markle out of Buckingham Palace. That, and other reports say that William has always been rather jealous of all the good press that Harry and Meghan received before Megxit and that his competitive nature might have gotten both the best and worst out of him during that time.
Jobson’s book provides insight on a side that fans don’t often get to see from William and it’s one that proves he’s got a different demeanor behind closed doors than in public. He write, “In private, however, those close to him say William, while being a dedicated servant of the Crown can be off-hand and volatile, defying his calm, family-guy demeanor. It is this chameleon-like characteristic that makes his father, Prince Charles, tread carefully when dealing with his son and heir.”
He added, “Theirs has been a complex relationship – indeed it was with Harry that Charles enjoyed a closer relationship before he bolted to America with new wife Meghan. William demands deference from those royally ranked below him, but in truth when looking upwards, he rarely gives it.”
Yikes. The Book will be published on Prince William’s 40th birthday, which will be June 21. There’s no doubt that royal fans can’t wait to get their hands on this one. So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the book, but it’s doubtful that anything will be said at this point.
