The Young and the Restless fans sure know what they want. Soon after it was announced that Jordi Vilasuso would be leaving the show, Doug Davidson fans were quick to jump on social media to suggest he replace the actor as quickly and as swiftly as possible. Here’s what you need to know.
Now that Rey Rosales will soon be leaving, it seems like there’s a vacant spot open at the Genoa City Police Department. And who better to replace Rey than veteran Paul Williams, right? Well, at least that’s what Doug Davidson’s fans think. His fans were all very fast to point out on Twitter that there wouldn’t be a better time than now to get Paul back on the show.
Many comments have included, “Does the executive producer even have Twitter? Do they read what the fans are saying? I don’t think we’ve ever had to work this hard to get someone back on a show who definitely is missed and deserves to be there. I’ll just go back to banging my head against a wall now..” along with, “I wonder if the parting of ways had to do with a refusal to get vaccinated. It happened publicly with Steve Burton and GH. Y&R is very tight lipped when it comes to behind the scenes matters. We would only know about it if the actors share and Doug hasn’t said a word.”
Another fan wrote, “Tony Morina would get higher ratings if he listens to the fans, and brings the Chief of Police back , the wonderful Doug Davidson. Mr. Morina should care about what the fans think as the show Y and R could be canceled if hardly anyone watches it.”
So far Doug Davidson himself has not made any comments about the matter, and neither have the producers of The Young and the Restless.
