General Hospital spoilers say that a lot of fans can’t help but ask this same question: is it really necessary to recast Alexis Davis? After all, she doesn’t have much of a storyline right now. However, it’s been reported that actress Stephanie Erb will be taking over for Nancy as she recovers from back surgery. But of course, General Hospital fans sure have a lot to say about the matter. Here’s what you need to know.
For those who find Stephanie to be familiar, it’s because she’s had part-time credits on shows such as Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, Ray Donovan, and True Blood. She also has daytime television acting credits as she played a short term role as General Hospital patient Camille on Port Charles. Stephanie is expected to make her debut as Alexis Davis during the week of April 25th.
Just last week, Nancy took to her Twitter account to write rather bluntly to her fans, “Heads up. Having a little back thingy surgery next week. I’ll be on Percocet & Oxycontin (I had to look of spelling of both so good sign) Ignore anything I tweet from 3/23/22 to 3/27/22. Thank you.”
Needless to say, many General Hospital fans have taken to social media to weigh in on the matter. Many of them wrote such things as, “Why? Just write the character off until NLG is recovered. There are several popular cast members who are seldom seen ie. Robert, Mac, Scott, Martin etc so why not give them a storyline while Nancy recovers. Just sayin,” along with, “She doesn’t really have much story going on at the moment though…I just don’t get recasting people for short stints left and right.”
Another fan wrote, “I don’t understand why they are recasting this character, but it is what it is. Wishing Stephanie Erb the best of luck as she temporarily takes over the role of Alexis, and am glad it seems like Nancy Lee Grahn is recovering nicely.”

Glad GH is giving her the boot, it is hard to watch her, pretend to be anything but nasty, after all the hate she has spewed.. I agree to her right to her opinion, but one can share their opinions without hatefully attacking others.. For anyone who does share her opinions, you then become her enemy and a target for her hateful attacks..
I’m in complete agreement with you. I lost any little bit of respect I might have had for her when I saw her hateful and nasty social media remarks.
It’s no loss to GH and I hope she is permanently replaced. It’s difficult to watch her knowing how nasty and hateful she can be in reality.

Who cares? Anew Alexis would be great. NLG is way too poloitical. It s insulting.
I really wish they would fire Nancy Lee Grahn. I fast forward through all of her scenes now. She says such hateful things on Twitter about any and all Conservatives, and anyone who disagrees with her is blocked. She calls President Trump vile names, and even wished death on certain Conservatives. An actress and cast member of a TV show should keep these opinions to herself. She posted that she was disappointed that Academy Award winners didn’t use the opportunity to speak out on politics.
I can no longer watch her on General Hospital because all I can think of as I watch her is her nasty remarks. She announced Ingo Rademacher’s firing before he had a chance to tell his fans. She wouldn’t be missed at all if her character was replaced by another actress on GH. Surely Producer Frank Valentini doesn’t want such a nasty person representing such a great program.

Yay! Alexis is being recast, even if it’s temporary. I used to love her but when she became ‘woke’ that did it for me. I’m done with her ugly, negative political posts! Bye bye Nancy. I certainly won’t miss you.
Boy how I wish it was permanent. I can’t stand fast forwarding her parts. Maybe now for a short time I won’t have to but still GH should not allow her hate speech on Twitter and let her go but they have their double standard. #FireNancyLeeGrahn
