The Bold and the Beautiful turns 35! To help celebrate this milestone moment, the hit CBS soap will have a very special episode that will celebrate all things Brooke Logan, played by Katherine Kelly Lang. Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to TV Insider in a new interview, The Bold and the Beautiful Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell said having a Brooke-centric episode seemed like a great idea to coincide with the soap’s 35th anniversary. He put it this way, “Yes. Kelly is our Tom Brady. She’s been our quarterback, the go-to person. Brooke’s been in more episodes than any other character. She’s our leading lady since Day 1. We wanted to honor both Brooke and Katherine Kelly Lang with this special episode. She reflects back on all the men she’s loved before. It was a great opportunity to have Winsor [Harmon, Thorne] and Jack [Wagner, Nick] back and play footage from all over the world with Don Diamont [Bill].”
When asked why Brooke has gotten away with so many things in the past – like having sex with her daughter’s boyfriend or have a baby with another daughter’s ex-husband – Bell said that it all has to do with Katherine Kelly Lang and just how personable she is, both on screen and off screen.
The scribe put it this way, “It all speaks to the core of Kelly: her decency and goodness as a human being, her positive energy, her bright shining light…she is radiant. She can do things and make mistakes. We’ve written her into corners so many times, but viewers root for her because of her genuine delivery. You can’t help but love her.”
There’s no doubt that The Bold and the Beautiful fans would definitely agree with that last statement! Needless to say, fans will have to tune in to find out what’s next for Brooke Logan.
