General Hospital Star Sydney Mikayla’s Co-Stars React To Her Exit From Port Charles

General Hospital spoilers say that while there sure are a lot of fans who are sad to see her leave, they also understand that she’s got some major goals to achieve on her end. Of course, we are talking about actress Sydney Mikayla, who is leaving her character Trina Robinson behind to focus on her studies at UCLA. Here’s what you need to know.

Soon after it was announced that Mikayla would be leaving General Hospital, it didn’t take very long for her fans and her followers along with her co-stars to react to the news. Many of them, like Nicholas Chavez, who plays Spencer on the hit ABC soap, said that filming their final scenes was emotional. He said, “Sydney has been incredible, such a talented actress. She’s leaving because she is so busy at school; she’s a full-time student at UCLA and that workload is so intense, so ultimately, I’m just incredibly proud of her as a friend that she is going and doing the things in life that she felt were important to her. That’s not always an easy thing to do, so I’m very proud of her and very supportive, as we all were at GH. She’s just a rock star! It’s been an utter pleasure to share the screen with her and I wish her nothing but continued success and happiness with everything she does.”

Meanwhile, Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis wrote on Twitter, “I [love] & respect @sydneymikayla. A great talent who prioritizes her  4 yrs at @ucla. #Gh will still be there, but this 4 yr focus is paramount for greater reasons & exactly why @GeneralHospital & I both know she will flourish best.”

Also, Laura Wright, who is best known as Carly Corinthos, added, “You’ll be missed Sydney!!!! Xoxox We are so proud of you!” That said, there’s no doubt that General Hospital fans will miss seeing her on the small screen as well.
