The Young and the Restless spoilers say that the soap has scored yet another victory in the ratings. That’s because a lot of people believe that the Ashland Locke storyline is pure fire! Here’s what you need to know.
According to the latest ratings, The Young and the Restless has once again edged out the competitor soaps as the highest rated daytime television show. This week saw an estimated 3,441,000 people tune in, compared to the 3,327,000 from last week! The soap has once again improved for the second week in a row despite preemptions on the West Coast on Tuesday, March 8 and Wednesday, March 9 due to sports coverage.
Of course, many The Young and the Restless fans have taken to social media to weigh in on the matter. There are a lot of people who are surely loving the Ashland Locke storyline and think that actor Robert Newman is hitting it out of the park! Some of them have commented with, “The new Ashland is the ONLY good thing about this show. Robert Newman is definitely saving this show. They shouldn’t get rid of him. I try to remain faithful to the last 4 soaps. But Y and R a lot of times feels like a chore minus a few characters,” along with, “Y&R is definitely better. On the right track. I’d like to see more of Michael Baldwin in this Ashland storyline. Hopefully once he’s rescued he gets to confront Ashland. It’s sooo nice the show has an actual villain.”
Another fan wrote, “The Young and The Restless needs pay Robert Newman handsomely and make sure he’s on a long term contract. It looks like the Y&R people are FINALLY starting to listen to the complaints about the show being so deadly dull for so long.”
