General Hospital spoilers have a lot of fans asking: who is the new kid Adam, where did he come from and how long is he going to stay? The character is played by newcomer Joshua Benard, who happens to be Maurice Benard’s (Sonny Corinthos) son. And because he did such a great job during a short that that he was on the canvas, a lot of General Hospital fans say that he should definitely come back. That, and the producers should think about giving him a full-time role on the soap, too! Here’s what you need to know.
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for both fans and critics alike to weigh in on the matter. Many of them took to their social media accounts to write, “He did great today! They should have given him a character that he could reoccur as or make him a new love-interest for Trina,” along with, “He looks a lot like his dad except better looking. He’s definitely a good actor and the producers of General Hospital should think about giving him a full-time role.”
Another fan wrote, “I was guessing he was going to play a flash forward version of Wiley to share scenes with Sonny/Nina imagining their future. That said, I think he did a fairly decent job. I wouldn’t be surprised if Adam comes back to Port Charles. The boy definitely knows how to act, just like his father. It would even be great to see Joshua in some scenes with Maurice.”
That said, we can’t wait to see more of Joshua on the canvas! Here’s hoping that the producers of General Hospital do consider giving Joshua another chance at daytime television fame. After all, if there’s one person that he’s going to learn from, it would be his father Maurice, who just happens to be the best! Now, whether or not that happens, remains to be seen. Fingers crossed!
