She was named after the queen, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like she’s going to be meeting her anytime soon. Prince Harry has been slammed for not bringing his family – which includes his two children Archie and Lilibet – to the UK. While Queen Elizabeth has certainly spent time with his son Archie in the past, she is yet to meet his daughter Lilibet, who was born in California back in June. Here’s what you need to know.

Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided not to visit the UK for Prince Philip’s memorial, which is set to take place this month. It was reported earlier that because of Harry’s security concerns in the UK, he believes that it will be unsafe to bring his family back home to London at this time. Harry’s refusal to come back to London means it’s very unlikely that Queen Elizabeth will ever get to meet her youngest great-granddaughter, Lilibet.

“He has snubbed the Duke of Edinburgh but really he is snubbing the Queen,” said Harry biographer Angela Levin. “He’ll probably use this same excuse to try to get out of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for both royal fans and critics alike to weigh in on the matter. Many of them wrote, “I’m no major fan of the Queen, but she lost her lifelong marital partner, her husband, her consort, the father of her children and this is the worst possible thing to do to anyone. You do NOT do this to your grandmother of all people and it is clear that there is no real point to security since there is always plenty of it,” along with, “Harry and Meghan are middle aged, based on UK & US life expectancy. Not exactly young. They are impressionable and damaged, but they’re also old enough to have therapy in private and not act out all the time. They are also rich enough and old enough to have the luxury of finding ways to make a living that do not involve selling his family drama and/or their personal trauma.”

But then again another person wrote, “Not all grannies are hugs and cookies. Not all grannies treat your mother like garbage on a world stage. Not all grannies make you walk following their mom’s casket in front of the entire world to see, and by god keeping that british stiff upper lip.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
