Say it isn’t so! Days of Our Lives spoilers say that one of the most iconic couples of daytime television (ok, that might be stretching it a bit far there) is about to call it quits. Of course, we are talking about Jake (Brandon Barash) and Gabi (Camilla Banus). Here’s what you need to know.
According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, it all begins when Jake is stunned over Gabi’s betrayal at the DiMera Enterprises shareholder meeting, where Gabi announced that she wanted to be installed as CEO instead of Jake, and puts Johnny on the board instead of Victor. When Jake asks for an explanation, Gabi brings up a moment in which she believes that he and Maggie looked like they were getting a little up close and personal in the Kiriakis study. Jake is trying to retrace his steps from the last several months and piece it all together, but it just ends in confusion for him.
Days of Our LIves spoilers say that after some drama with Chad, Gabi asked for a moment alone with Jake and that’s when they decide to pull the plug on their relationship. Brandon Barash, who plays Jake on the hit NBC soap, puts it this way, “There are moments of, ‘I hate what you did, but we had something special, or so I thought.’ They realize their relationship wasn’t as strong as they thought. Their bond wasn’t as unbreakable as they fancied.”
Days of Our Lives spoilers say that later on, Jake visits Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) who shares an interesting point on things. Brandon further explains, “It’s more shock and disbelief for Jake. It would definitely explain everything that’s happened.”
Now, whether or not Jake and Gabi are making a huge mistake in this decision remains to be seen. Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
