The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) appears to be in a no-win situation. But he is refusing to follow Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) orders or tell Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) the truth.
Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) has been mining information in Peru. His contact with multiple doctors at the clinic Ashland has been revealed to have financially backed shifted the game.
Now, instead of Ashland proceeding as planned or Victor stopping his diabolical son-in-law, a different threat is emerging. Michael’s teased disappearance implies that Ashland is behind it and has panicked.
Michael is a bulldog lawyer. Victor’s rehire of him was intended to prepare for the storm that has arrived in Genoa City, Wisconsin, and Peru.
Ashland did not anticipate Victor being able to obtain devastating information from doctors who are claiming direct knowledge of the lie. Based on the testimony Michael has been able to obtain, Ashland never had cancer.
Victor does not seem to have all that he stated was needed to fully sink Ashland. So, it may be possible for Ashland to block his father-in-law from securing the money information that would lead to criminal charges being filed. This could happen if he holds Michael hostage, without making it seem to be that way.
How can Ashland remain standing even if he can deter Victor from revealing his scheme from Victoria or from reporting what has happened to the authorities? His endgame seems suspect.
When cornered, a rat will attack. But if caught in a maze of his own making, where can Ashland go?
As was true in the past, Ashland might tell Victoria the truth and realize the continuation of their marriage. That is pure hope, as this scenario involves lying to her in real-time versus his backstory reveals which explained pre-Victoria decisions.
Victor does not win every battle. But GC’s leading man has always come out on top across the decades.
This two-front war involves locating Michael and ensuring his safe passage home, assuming he is in danger. At the same time, Victor may need to tell Victoria the entire storyline.
While he wanted to shield Victoria from the pain that Ashland’s lies will cause her, Victor needs her to be in the fight. But she loves Ashland, and incredibly, her husband has come to care for her as well. That complicating, romantic factor adds another layer of complexity to this developing drama on Y&R.

Victor will win at all costs! He’s a street fighter and will go dirty down to get what he wants back! Newman enterprise!
He may have to get dirty to win, but if they drag this out not knowing about Mike I will just have to stop watching. The stories are just getting way to long.
