The Young and the Restless spoilers say that things aren’t looking so bad in Genoa City anymore. That’s because there’s been a slight ratings gain in the past week as it seems like more viewers and fans are tuning in to the soap compared to this time last week and even this time last year. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, a total of 3,505,000 fans tuned in to watch The Young and the Restless during the week of February 14-18. This is an increase of 14,000 viewers from the previous week and 201,000 viewers from this same week last year. In comparison, The Bold and the Beautiful saw 2,941,000 viewers tune in while General Hospital had 2,268,000. Days of Our Lives was preempted because of the Winter Olympics on the NBC network.
Of course, many The Young and the Restless fans have weighed in on the soap’s ratings on social media. While Y&R has seen an uptick in viewership this past week, it’s also seen a decline for several weeks now. Some comments from concerned viewers have included, “Stop rehashing the same old story lines and love interest. Some people belong together while otherwise time has come and gone! Victor and Niki belong together and glad you have kept them together but Sharon and Nick time has past,” along with, “Young and Restless is becoming the most boring soap. It’s almost like the storylines are long drawn out with no action. By now some of the following storylines should have been solved and we should be sitting on the edge of our seats waiting on the next day.”
Another fan wrote, “I’ve watched since it came on. I record now because gets so boring and I fast forward. Excitement has gone. You get on one subject and just drag it out. Need more drama like the good old days. This has always been the best but I’m now losing my interest. Please add drama.”

Please move with the truth in the Devon, Abby Dominic storyline! Devon is not the bio dad so let’s see who it might be! Stop Devon from driving Abby crazy! Can’t stand his attitude! Also do something with Chance and Noah!! Give them a storyline!!
I agree that too many weeks(months) are spent on the same event but my concern is the background music (noise) which is louder than the words being spoken by the actors. Yes, we have a Smart TV but Pleaseeeeee.....if you think it will do any good.....pass this on to the powers that be. Thank you.
