Days of Our Lives alum Tyler Christopher is the ultimate comeback kid! There’s a new report that says the actor, who is best known for his role as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital and Stefan DiMera on Days of Our Lives, has just booked a role in a new film. Here’s what you need to know!
Soap Opera Digest says that Tyler Christopher will be joining Sally Kirkland, also from Days of Our Lives, and The Bay actor Kristos Andrews in a new dark comedy called “Murder, Anyone?” It’s from director and producer James Cullen Bressack. How exciting!
Murder, Anyone? follows two playwrights tasked with the challenge of creating “the next avant-garde surrealistic mind-bending, neo-noir thriller. Filled with hilarity and chaos, Murder, Anyone? is a comedic play within a play within a movie that contemplates the complexities of language, art, theater, film and more.
“It was truly an honor to be able to bring my father’s words to life,” James Cullen Bressack said about the project, according to Variety. “I made a promise to him before he passed away that I would try to make his scripts [into films]. It’s amazing to be able to have helped his words live on. It was truly special. He was the funniest most talented writer I know.”
Now, as far as whether or not Tyler would consider making a return to daytime television remains to be seen but it’s without a doubt that his fans would welcome him back in a heartbeat. In fact, many have said that it’s been a long time since he’s last been on the canvas and that soap fans would love to see him either on General Hospital or Days of Our Lives. Seeing how there’s availability for a new Jason Morgan or even as Jasper Jacks, we’d say that there’s plenty of room for Tyler on the show. Someone needs to make a phone call to the General Hospital producers stat to make it happen!
