Say it isn’t so! Days of Our Lives comings and goings say that Victoria Konefal is leaving the show. The actress, who is best known for her role as Ciara Brady on the hit NBC soap, admits that she needs a change of pace when it comes to her career. Here’s what you need to know.
During an interview on the podcast Not Too Deep with Grace Helbig, Victoria said that she’s thinking about aking on a role in a movie a friend of hers is producing, which is why she wants to take another break from Days of Our Lives.
“A friend of mine is actually producing a film in the South. I can’t really talk much about it or the storyline, but I like it,” Konefal confessed. “So, I think I’m going to go ahead and take some time off and do that. I might be putting on my cowgirl hat!”
As many fans can recall, Victoria took a break from daytime television back in 2020. It was at the end of her two-year contract. She wanted to work on other projects but unfortunately, that’s when the pandemic hit, too.
“I was ready to dip my toe into other projects. Then two weeks later they shut down the world completely,” she recalled, adding that when DAYS resumed production months later, they called her about returning. “They asked to have me back as a contract player, and I was like, ‘Well, this is kind of tricky. I know I’ve been away for 10 months, but I haven’t had a chance to dip my toe. So I agreed to a 16-week contract.”
Now, whether or not Victoria will return to Days of Our Lives remains to be seen but it’s without a doubt that fans will sure miss seeing her on the canvas! I can understand about her wanting to pursue other projects but I for one am really going to miss her. Good luck Victoria, I truly hope you do come back to DOOL sometime in the future.
Well let’s recast if necessary for the story line
I agree!!! She is having a baby and what happens to Ben, when she leaves? We don’t want him to leave too!!! A divorce wouldn’t fit, they are too happy, so a recast makes the most sense!!!
What’s going to happen with Ben and baby? Will she take baby with her, or will Ben raise the baby on his own?
I really don't think she adds that much ... this is the second time she's left, so let her go. I'm sure Ron will come up with a sexy love interest for Ben and I look forward to that ... Victoria doesn't do that much for me and I don't think she's that great of an actor ... Rob on the other hand, is a fabulous actor ...
Just recast her, and recast Abby, and you need to keep Ben, Victoria I wish the best for her, but don’t work around her schedule, she comes and goes when she wants, so just recast her, and Chad needs Abby recast her
Fine with me -- just leaves more room for LGBTQ and/or non-Caucasian characters. At least that seems to be the primary casting interest on DOOL in the past couple of years. Since going 'cold turkey' during Olympic coverage after 50+ years of viewing, I don't plan to get back into the habit. Ridiculous storylines (demonic possessions, resurrection of the dead, etc ) and the political platform overshadowing the writing and production, it has become depressing.

They need to replace her permanently I'm tired of her being so wishy washy about being in this show which has made her cAreer so far. Good luck to her in future pursuits everyone is replaceable.
What they waiting for to recast this character is the baby that Cin fans have waited for going to be born off screen enough enough recast ASAP.

i really like victoria she is a great actress, but her leaving the show at this time, i wish she wasn't, she left the show where ben and Ciara got married, now she is having a child and she is leaving again, how can the cin story continue if she keeps on leaving, what about ben. i know she has a great future and i wish her the best but the Ben and Ciara story needs to continue, they r a super couple just like bo and hope was. they need to replace her to continue the story, again i wish she wasn't leaving, will miss her a lot like i miss hope.
