The Bold and the Beautiful fans are asking: is it time for the writers of the hit CBS soap to get a clue? With ratings down, a lot of people can’t help but wonder if the current storylines as to blame. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, the ratings for The Bold and the Beautiful are down compared to this time last year, which has prompted a lot of fans to ask: is the Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) New Year’s Eve kiss storyline to blame? A lot of B&B fans seem to think so. It’s been almost two months now and the residents of the Forrester mansion in this fictional town of Los Angeles still can’t figure out that Brooke has been kissing other men behind her husband’s back for years now and that it’s always been a problem.
That said, while The Young and the Restless leads in the soap ratings war, The Bold and the Beautiful still edges out General Hospital and Days of Our Lives as the second most watched daytime television show with an average of 2.9 million viewers tuning in during each episode. Some disgruntled fans have commented on the situation with, “No surprise B&B went down. It’s drivel. Same lines and stupid flashbacks every frickin day. What a waste. GH is so good – the epitome of a soap, not a dull moment. Y&R – a train wreck. So boring! As a long time fan since the 80s, it’s sad to see how terrible it’s gotten. February sweeps and not a decent storyline in sight.”
Another fan said, “Bold and the Beautiful is making no sense lately. Steffy’s eagerness to break Ridge and Brooke up is pointless. Why would Ridge just decide that if Brooke kissed someone when she was drunk, he should be with Taylor again. Also, WTF is it Brooke’s fault she kissed Deacon? She was WASTED. If anything, Deacon is creepy for taking advantage of Brooke and then sleeping next to her. None of this was consensual. And where is like half the show’s cast????”
And then there was this comment: “Ridge, Taylor, and Thomas are at Steffy’s house 24/7. What more does she want? They’re there more than her husband who seems to be MIA. Not to mention that Brooke/Ridge drama has been done to death. Bradley Bell desperately needs good co-writers, but it won’t happen. He’s too busy forcing assignment waivers on his staff to get a clue.”

Eric/Quinn/Carter slowed my viewing. Now Carter and Paris. Deacon and Sheila type drama, is what the show is about. Sally and Clark had these kind of shenanigans decades ago.
I love B&B but we need more excitement Brooke is Boring and where’s Dollar Bill . Let’s get some excitement in there and things that will keep everyone on the edge of their seats and cannot wait to see more
I can see why the ratings have gone down. I don't think that it's so much the the story as the repetition of everything. I cannot stand Brooke and I am so tired of seeing her moping around the house having flashbacks of new years eve and how many times have we seen Sheila switching the labels on the bottles? Also tired of Ridge and Brooke. I wish they would just break them up and be done with it already. Whether Ridge goes back to Taylor or not, let him find someone else. I don't know what it is about Brooke, but it doesn't seem to matter what she does, Ridge and Eric always seem to forgive her. If Ridge forgives her this time, I am done. So depressing. What happened to all the fashion shows? I miss those and all the fashion drama there used to be. They closed down Spectra Fashions and now there is no rivalry or nothing.
The show drags out every storyline. Repeats the same ones. Over and over. Where’s Bill been.? Rarely see Katie or Eric . Ugh!!! You can’t keep repeating the same stories over and over and keep fans interested …. ????
So done with the same storylines over and over. And what is with Steffy being a big baby of wanting her mom and dad together. She’s a grown woman. Grow up. If Ridge wanted to be with Taylor it would of happened a long time ago. And don’t even get me started on Paris. Trampy girl flirting with Carter while stringing along Zende. She is just as bad as her sister Zoe or worst.
Something desperately needs done with the constant repetition of dialogue! If I see one more flashback of that stupid Grandma kissing Santa scene & Sheila switching the labels, it will be way too soon! And where in the world is the rest of the cast?? Eric, Quinn, Wyatt, Shauna, Bill?!?🤷🏼♀️ Stop, please stop making Paris the object of all mens desires!🤮
I have watched this show since the first day. Brooke and Ridge is the couple for B&B. The writers should keep them together. Please stop trying to break them up every year. Every time a new character come on or a old character come back the targets are always Brooke and Ridge. I think we would have better rating if we have new storylines. Taylor should have came back with a secret instead of trying to get Ridge back. She should have been married. Shelia and Deacon brought the rating down. Shelia should have been at Quinn because she was married to Eric at one time. She never had a past with Ridge. Deacon should have stayed gone because there is no storyline for him. What happened to the fashion shows?
The whole Brooke, Steffy, Taylor, Ridge, Liam, Hope, Thomas is repeated over and over. Carter bedding every woman that is involved with someone else! It is like a bunch of hamsters on a wheel!
It has been past idiotic for way too long now. I can't imagine fighting over an ex who wasn't worth the time of day the first time. Taylor just looks pathetic and so does Steffy.
Brooke Logan is just a dirty tramp. The BRIDGE 'love story' is a joke. A few months back she was kissing Bill and telling him she would always love him, now she kissing Deacon. YUCK! So much for the BRIDGE destiny, they are just plain toxic and revolting. TRIDGE was a love story, STILL was a love story. Brad Bell has killed the real love stories to push his favorite character, Brooke and it's dumb, boring and pathetic. That;s why the viewer numbers are down and viewers are turning off in their droves. Brad Bell and Brooke Logan have ruined The Bold and The Beautiful.

The story of brook is old. Put hope and Liam life in limbo, like hope secret baby for her brother in law that she had while overseas that she kept from her Liam and his brother. Bring back Sunday wife from Paris for some drama of the reason they are divorce.bring flow and her Mather .to shake things up.look let me be your guest writer for 90days .
