General Hospital spoilers say that if there’s one person that you don’t want to mess with in this fictional town of Port Charles, it’s most definitely Laura Spencer (Genie Francis). In fact, Laura is about to prepare for a huge battle with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), as she is willing to do whatever she can to protect Spencer Cassadine (NIcholas Chavez) from Victor. In other words, she’s got a whole lot of work ahead of her. Keep reading below for all of the spoilers you need to know.
According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Laura Spencer, who plays Genie on the hit ABC soap, says that while her character has accepted Luke’s death, she’s still harboring suspicion that someone might not be telling the truth. If there’s anyone who had anything to do about Luke’s death, it would most definitely be Victor. That’s why she also has no reason to believe him, or let alone want him to be anywhere near her and those that she loves.
Laura told the publication in a new interview, “Whether or not the character being dead end up being the truth in the long run of our storytelling, that’s another story; they could adjust the story in the future. But I think it works. Things are vague and fluid enough that they’ve left themselves open for any kind of storytelling.”
That said, Laura’s quest for the truth will continue. That, and she’s going to do whatever it takes to keep her grandson Spencer out of harm’s way. If she has to go head to head with Victor himself, so be it, but she’ll do it in order to make sure that her family remains safe. Genie continues, “She has her own concerns. It seems hard to believe that it was just an innocent accident.”
Time will only tell if Laura will be able to defeat Victor at his own game. Of course, General Hospital fans will have to tune in this week for all of the action!
