The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is clearly not letting go. Both he and Abby Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will clash over what’s best for Baby Dominic. Keep reading below for all of the spoilers you need to know.
According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Abby is none too pleased and quite hurt when Devon takes legal action to obtain shared custody of Dominic. Of course, Devon believes that he was being reasonable when he just wanted to have more unsupervised visits with the baby, but Abby opposed to that and refused to amend their contract. This has Devon now taking their battle to court.
Speaking to the publication in a new interview, actor Bryton James, who plays Devon on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way, “She became defensive when Devon just wanted some verbal agreement that he could have a day here and there with Dominc. He never brought up shared custody but when they shut him down, that forced him to find out what his options are. Devon also feels the real reason for him to step in is because he knows that Chance is struggling with being a father.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Devon is still optimistic that he can come up with some kind of agreement between Abby and Chance. After all, they’ve been friends for quite some time now.
Bryton continues, “Devon loves Abby and he wants them to be able to work this out. He’s not looking to cause problems or upheavals in anyone’s life. He just wants to spend time with his son.”
Yet, when Abby keeps pushing Devon to tell her the real reason for his legal action, he finally admits that he thinks Chance is not a capable father. Bryton says, “Devon’s concern isn’t based on assumption but what Chance shared with him.”
