Even though nothing happens, Chelsea overreacts and punishes Sally. When Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) does damage control, Chelsea has already unraveled.

Chelsea Lawson Begs

Y&R spoilers reveal that on Monday, January 3, Chelsea will beg Adam for another chance. It comes after Chelsea learns that Adam and Sally are spending New Year’s Eve together. Chloe doesn’t tell Chelsea, but she ends up figuring it out anyway. Chelsea tries to give Adam all the reasons they should be together despite their volatile history. However, Adam insists that they are toxic for each other.

The Young and The Restless Spoilers: Sally Spectra’s Non-Date

While Chelsea is begging to reconcile, Adam gets a text message from Sally saying there is a work emergency. Adam says he has to go and Chelsea is left feeling like the conversation went nowhere.

When Adam gets to the office, he finds the emergency was that it was almost midnight and he still wasn’t there. The two have their non-date “doing nothing” by watching a movie on Sally’s laptop. As they share a toast, Adam and Sally almost kiss, but end up turning away before their lips lock. However, Chelsea happens to see their faces close together and assumes they are hooking up.

Rejection and Heartbreak

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Chelsea is heartbroken. She happens to run into Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). The two are having a special date, which later turns out to be an anniversary celebration.

Before breaking out the one-year-old wedding cake, Sharon invites Chelsea to join them. Chelsea reluctantly agrees and the two women talk about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Then, Rey and Sharon get lovey-dovey. Chelsea can’t handle it and rushes away.

During the week of January 3, Sally and Chelsea are at Newman Media working on the fashion platform. Sally keeps throwing out ideas, but Chelsea bashes every single one. By the time Chloe arrives, the two are in an explosive argument. Chloe shuts down the fight, which only frustrates Chelsea to the point of her storming out.

Co-executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the storyline. The scribe teased,

“Chloe will have her work cut out for her as she tries to keep the peace between Chelsea and Sally. Sparks will fly as the turf war at Newman Fashion and over Adam’s attention escalates between these two women.”
