Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) came home from Italy hoping that everyone would be just as excited as they were about their surprise wedding. Unfortunately for the newlyweds, they’ve gotten a mixed reaction for both sides of their families and of course, it’s caused some friction between family members and some drama, too. According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Johnny and Chanel share their happy news with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) the moment they see them. Chanel was hoping that her new sister-in-law Allie would be supportive of their marriage, but it doesn’t go that way. Allie isn’t pleased to learn that her brother and her best friend have tied the knot behind everyone’s back.
Raven Bowens, who plays Chanel on the hit NBC soap, offers this to the publication, “Chanel is disappointed because nobody seems to be supporting this bliss that she feels. It’s surprising and it’s devastating because this is her best friend.”
Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Allie seemingly makes things worse by “saying a bunch of lies” for the reasons that she’s against the marriage. However, when Johnny accuses Allie of being jealous and simply wanting Chanel for herself, she denies it.
Fortunately, Allie realizes that there’s no reason for her to get upset and heads over to the DiMera mansion to apologize to Chanel and Johnny. Raven previews, “Allie and Tripp show up with a bottle of champagne. They want to celebrate. Allie comes on board, and Chanel feels that things are finally going to be good, that they’re each going to be with the person they belong with.”
With that said though, things will soon take a turn that Chanel never saw coming. Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
