The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) tells Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) that he wants to spend more time with Dominic, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, seeing how he helped deliver the tot. However, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is not exactly on board with the idea, and especially since he’s trying to navigate his new role in the little baby’s life, too. According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Devon decides he wants to be more hands on with Dominc during his visits, mostly because he feels a connection to the little baby. After all, Abby left Dominic in Devon’s care when she went off to Spain to search for Chance, so clearly she trusts him the most when it comes to her precious child.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Devon will show up at the Chancellor mansion, where he finds Chance having trouble calming his fussy son. Devon takes over and before he knows it, the baby is calm again.
Bryton James, who plays Devon on the hit CBS soap, offers, “The few times he’s been around Chance and the baby, Devon has noticed that Chance seems to be uncomfortable in the role of being a father and he’s still trying to find his footing. Also, Chance has told Devon that he’s having issues coping with being back home and the pressure of becoming an attentive father.”
With that said, The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Devon will ask Abby and Chance for more unsupervised visits where Dominic can stay with him overnight. Of course, Abby is thrown off by the request. Interestingly enough, it’s Abby who is a little more on edge by what Devon is asking than Chance.
Bryton further explains, “So, he puts it out there and leaves not knowing what to expect. He imagines that it couldn’t gone better but he’s hopefully that they’ll come around and understand where he’s coming from.”
