Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Chanel And Johnny Make Things Official

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that he certainly put a ring on it… and his parents are not happy with it. Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) decides that he wants to make things official with Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) while the two of them are away in Italy. According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Carson Boatman, who plays Johnny DiMera on the hit NBC soap, says that it’s certainly going to be a holiday that everyone is going to remember as both he and his wife come home with big news. He is hopeful that he is going to get a positive reaction from his family and especially from his parents, who hopefully will be just as happy as he is and of course, supportive.

WIth EJ, Sami and Paula all gathered around at the DiMera mansion, Johnny and Chanel announce their exciting news. Carson explains, “They are talking about their trip and how amazing it was and then Johnny is like, ‘Speaking of amazing, we have some amazing news. And he looks at Chanel and says, ‘Should we tell them?’ And then the two of them look at their parents and he says, ‘Chanel and I got married.’”

Unfortunately for the newlyweds, they don’t get the reaction from their parents that they were hoping for. While there’s no doubt that the news is jaw-dropping for everyone, Johnny’s parents can’t believe that he would make such a decision like this without consulting anyone in the family first. Both Sami and EJ imply that this wasn’t the smartest idea with EJ even going as far as to tell his son that he should get the marriage annulled.

Days of Our Lives spoilers though say that Johnny is not deterred by the naysayers and still loves his new wife. Carson added, “He feels EJ crossed the line in insulting the woman Johnny loves right in front of her. So Johnny has it out with EJ and then he has it out with Sami as well.”
