General Hospital spoilers say that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) are about to deal with some devastating heartache that will change their future, both together and apart. Keep reading for all of the spoilers you need to know.
According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, things aren’t looking very good for Sasha and Brando’s son Liam, who is currently in the NICU. Unfortunately, their agony will only get worse once they hear an update on their child’s condition.
Speaking to the publication in a new interview, actor Johnny Wactor, who plays Sasha on the hit ABC soap, says that both his character and Sasha have been clinging onto hope ever since their baby was born last month. But unfortunately, they will be getting bad news before getting any good news.
Johnny puts it this way, “His child is hooked up to machines and he’s scared, but like I think any father would be doing and any partner would be doing for the mother of their child, he feels like he needs to be strong and supportive for her and just be there for her.”
General Hospital spoilers say that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) tells the new parents that because of the oxygen deprivation that Liam suffered from, he has no brain activity. Needless to say, she is trying to be a gentle as possible with Sasha and Brando about the news. However, she also adds that there’s no chance of a quality life for their son.
Johnny further explains, “It hits Brando first, what she’s saying when she tells them that their son has no brain function,” and also adding, “Brando is more settled on, ‘We need to help him go.’”
Obviously, neither parent wants to do that, but it’s going to be a difficult several weeks before they decide on their child’s fate. I feel so bad about what Sasha and Brando have been going through since the birth of Liam. To find out that he has no brain function must be extremely difficult for them that I can't imagine what they are going through to process this information. It is my hope that the outcome could change and Sasha and Brando will come closer together.
I think it’s terrible that the writers are allowing Liam’s death. Isn’t there enough drama in this soap without adding the death of this baby? Seems like it’s all gloom and doom-enough of that in the real world. I would like to see something good happen for a change
I really hope we get a Christmas Miracle. Even though it a Soap. We can all use some hope. Don't let a baby die at Christmas, or any time. This world is so heavy in real life.🎄
