The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) certainly didn’t expect her first year of marriage to look like this. It goes without saying that nothing will ever be the same between her and Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd), even though she’s relieved to know that he’s alive now. The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abby And Chance’s Marriage Might Not Survive Their Latest Challenge

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Abby has certainly been hit very hard with the fact that Chance has been gone so long and that he’s dealt with a traumatic experience while gone. Plus, there’s also the fact that before he left, they didn’t have much time to spend as a married couple together. 

Speaking to Soaps.com in a new interview, actress Melissa Ordway, who plays Abby Newman on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way, “Yeah, things went south pretty quickly after the wedding. She and Chance really didn’t have an opportunity to get to know one another as man and wife before the trouble started.”

But, it hasn’t been all that bad for Abby during Chance’s absence. Melissa says that her character has had the opportunity to grow and become a mother while he was gone, even though she terribly missed having him by her side. 

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: A Lot Has Changed For Abby

Melissa explained, “A lot has changed over the past year. Abby kind of had a break from being married. Chance was gone for almost a year, and she’s not the same person she was when he left. She’s been through a lot, and what she’s been through had a big impact on her. And of course, everything that he went through changed him as well. So it’s almost as if the two of them have to figure out who they are together after everything that happened while they were apart.”

But with Chance not in the right state of mind, The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that trouble might be ahead for Abby and Chance in their marriage, as they might not survive this challenge that faces them ahead. Do you agree?
