The Young and the Restless Alum Gina Tognoni Resurfaces On Social Media With New Instagram Post

The Young and the Restless alum Gina Tognoni (ex-Phyllis Summers) has resurfaced on social media with a brand new Instagram post to celebrate her birthday. As many fans can recall, Gina was last seen on Y&R back during the summer of 2019, and before she was replaced by General Hospital’s Michelle Stafford. Here’s what she has to say now.

Gina Tognoni is celebrating her birthday and of course, living her best life. Sharing a new photo with her husband Joseph Ciarello by her side, the brunette beauty captioned her post with, “Spending my birthday weekend with this incredible man thank you for such a special gift. #asburyparknj #asburyoceanclub congratulations to our friends miles and Sarah on their wedding day & Thank you for all my birthday love messages , love hearing from everyone. BTW hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving day .. it’s been a great week.”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for her fans and her followers to comment on her post. Many of them wrote, “Gina!! I hope you have a blessed birthday. I left Y & R after 45 years viewing because I’m not a MS fan. I loved you OLTL so much as well. I hope to see you on TV soon,” along with, “You were my Phyllis! I wish you’d be back on Y & R…. but you seem very happy so I’m happy for you. When can we anticipate seeing you back on the tv screen! Love your work!”

Another fan wrote, “Happy Birthday to the best Phyllis out there! Wish you were on TV again. You are too talented to not be acting in some venue!!”

Y&R Spoilers: What’s Next For Gina?

So far Gina herself has not made any comments on whether or not she plans on returning to daytime television or any acting capacity for that matter. According to the actress’ IMDb page, she currently doesn’t have any projects in the pipeline, but of course this doesn’t mean she’s done with the soap world altogether. Watch this space as we have a feeling that we’ll be seeing Gina back on the canvas sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed!
