Y&R spoilers reveal that Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) is trying to find out confirmation on whether Chance Chancellor (formerly Donny Boaz) is dead or alive. However, the mroe information that Christine gets, the more she admits that Chance probably didn’t survive the blast.

Once Abby receives Chance’s wedding band, she admits to herself that her husband is gone.

It is teased that Abby will go through the grieving process. However, her grief will continue to intensify. When Abby tells Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) that she doesn’t know how to continue without Chance, everyone is concerned. So, Abby’s loved ones will take action to try and help her.

In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, head writer and co-executive producer Josh Griffith explains what happens next. Everyone will work hard to help Abby, but it seems those efforts backfire.

“Things will get worse before they get better during Abby’s grieving process. Everyone’s efforts to help Abby will prove to be too much for her, leading her to make some unexpected decisions.”

There is word that Chance has been recast, so expect to see him return to Genoa City in the near future. In the meantime, though, Abby will be struggling to cope with the loss of her husband. Abby will have to plan Chance’s funeral and it sounds like she won’t cope well. Abby is not just a new widow, but a new mom who is already overwhelmed and exhausted. It is a bad mixture and trauma affects people in different ways.
